Meet Our Dental Hygienists
Ellie-Registered Dental Hygienist
In 1989 Ellie began working for Dr. Loomis as a registered dental assistant (RDA). While an RDA at Dr. Loomis’ practice, Ellie began her studies at Foothill College in Los Altos. In 1991 she graduated and earned her Associate in Science (A.S.) degree in Dental Hygiene. Ellie is known to provide gentle and thorough cleanings. Ellie remains active in continuing dental education and training in: scaling and root planing, local anesthesia, nitrous oxide (N20), radiography, dental sealants, sterilization, first aid, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Since she has been with Dr. Loomis, she has had the opportunity to build long-term, special relationships with patients and enjoy watching their families grow up with healthy smiles. Ellie is married and has two wonderful children herself.

Carmen-Registered Dental Hygienist
Carmen has been working as an Registered Dental Hygienist for Dr. Loomis since 2001. She began her career in dentistry in 1985 when she earned a degree in Dental Assisting. She was a dental assistant for several years and worked in the specialties of pediatrics and orthodontics. She credits that time with teaching her the skills to work with children and teens by understanding their needs and fears. In 1992 she returned to school and earned her Associate in Science (A.S.) degree in Dental Hygiene from Chabot’s program. Carmen has a passion for learning and considers it a priority to make each patient’s dental visit a positive experience by adding a gentle but thorough touch. Carmen remains active in continuing dental education and training in: scaling and root planing, local anesthesia, nitrous oxide (N2O), radiography, first aid, nutrition, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Carmen was born and raised in the Bay Area where she resides with her husband and two daughters. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, gardening, exercising, and reading.

Traci-Registered Dental Hygienist
Traci has been a dental hygienist for Dr. Loomis since 1989. She graduated and earned her Associate in Science (A.S.) degree in Dental Hygiene from Foothill College. In addition to working in a general family dentistry practice she has also worked in a periodontal specialty practice. Traci loves her job and she treats every patient with friendliness and provides dental health care for their individual needs. Traci remains active in continuing dental education and training in: scaling and root planing, local anesthesia, nitrous oxide (N20), radiography, sealants, sterilization, medical emergencies and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Traci grew up on the Peninsula. Traci and her Husband have raised their 2 college aged children in the Bay Area. She and her family have been active members of the community. In her spare time she enjoys traveling.

Christine-Registered Dental Hygienist
Christine has been in dentistry for 22 years. In 2005 Christine earned her Associate in Science (A.S.) degree in Dental Hygiene from Palm Beach Community College in Florida. She joined Dr. Loomis’ practice in 2007. Prior to becoming a Registered Dental Hygienist, she practiced as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) for nine years – five of those in General Practice and four in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Christine was an active committee member on the Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Exam (DAANCE) program for seven years. Practicing dental hygiene is Christine’s dream come true! She is passionate about making the patient feel very comfortable and educating her patients on the benefits of good oral health while they are in her care. She is also active in continuing dental education and training in: scaling and root planing, local anesthesia, nitrous oxide (N20), radiography, dental sealing, sterilization, first aid, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
In her spare time, Christine enjoys spending time with her daughter who is following in her dental hygiene footsteps. Her other interests include cooking, camping and exploring the outdoors, and being at home.
